Sensors Overview
The app models, displays, and lets you interact with the many kinds of sensors and peripherals connected to a Supracontrol installation. This page explains how sensors are categorised and how they appear in lists; Sensor detail views covers the individual detail pages.
Two broad categories
How a sensor is shown depends on its category:

| Analog | A measured value, often shown with a historical chart | Temperature, humidity, pressure, air quality (IAQ), particle density, wind, light, tilt, sound, and electrical metering (voltage, current, power, energy) |
| Digital | An on/off or state condition | Inputs, outputs, locks, doors, buttons, smoke, flood, and power detectors |
To keep lists meaningful, some low-level or duplicate measurement types are filtered out and don’t get their own card.
Sensor cards
In the Alarms, Favourites, and Locations views, sensors appear as cards rendered according to their type, so each shows the most relevant information at a glance - a value and chart for analog sensors, a state and controls for digital ones, grouped readings for air quality, per-axis values for tilt, and so on. Cards show the sensor, its location, status, and alarm state.
Where you have the rights, some cards let you act directly - for example operating a lock or switching an output.
Live data and units
Sensor data refreshes continuously through background updates while a sensor page is open. Temperature values respect your measurement unit preference (Celsius or Fahrenheit) - see Settings & preferences.
Where sensors appear
- Locations dashboard - sensors organised by place.
- Alarms - only those in alarm.
- Favourites - the ones you’ve marked.
