Settings & Preferences
The Settings page lets you tailor the app to how you work. Preferences are a mix of device-local settings and account preferences stored on the server, so the account ones follow you across devices.
Path: Side menu → Settings
Available settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Default landing page | The screen the app opens to after login - Locations, Favourites, Video, Alarms, or Events. |
| Measurement unit | The temperature unit, Celsius or Fahrenheit, used wherever temperatures are shown. |
| Language | The interface language. See Language. |
| Biometric screen lock | Fingerprint or face protection for the app. See Biometric screen lock. |
For default page, measurement unit, and language, the app opens a short list where you pick one option; your current choice is shown on the Settings page.
Where preferences live
- On the device - biometric screen lock, plus cached copies of language and unit used at startup so the app behaves correctly before your profile loads.
- On the server (your account) - your default unit and language, your favourites, and video display preferences such as whether to show disabled, silent, or disconnected cameras. These load with your profile and apply as you navigate.
Note: Your default landing page is applied every time you sign in - see App lifecycle & offline behaviour.
