Live Camera Grid

The Video tab is where you watch live camera feeds. It lays cameras out in a grid that pages sideways, adapting to your screen so you can scan a whole site or just one location’s cameras.

The grid

The app works out how many camera tiles fit per page based on your screen size and orientation, so the layout suits both phones and tablets in portrait and landscape. A counter shows which cameras are visible out of the total - for example, 1–8 / 23. When only one camera is available, it switches to a single full-width view.

Each tile is a live stream that connects and plays as you page through; streams for off-screen pages are managed so resources aren’t wasted.

Which cameras appear

By default the grid shows online, enabled cameras. Your video preferences control whether to also include disabled, silent, or disconnected cameras - see Settings & preferences. You can filter cameras by location and search by name or location - see Filtering & search.

When you open the grid scoped to one location from the Locations dashboard, only that location’s cameras are shown.

Live behaviour

Camera and location data refreshes on a short interval, so cameras coming online, going offline, or moving between locations are reflected automatically. Streams pause when the app is backgrounded or when you leave the Video tab, and re-establish when you return - and the app restores your place in the grid even if cameras shifted position.
