Events & Recordings

The Events tab is a timeline of things that happened on a site - alarms, access activity, and sensor events - together with the recorded video attached to them. It’s where you review history and play back evidence, as opposed to the Video tab, which shows live feeds.

The event list

Events appear as a continuously scrolling list that loads more as you scroll. Each entry describes what happened, where, when, and which sensor or alarm it relates to - and offers playback when video was captured. Pull to refresh reloads the list, and a back to top control appears once you’ve scrolled down. By default the list covers the last 24 hours.

Filtering

The events list has a rich filter set:

Filter	Description
Time period	A date/time range - defaults to the last day.
Location	Restrict to one location.
Alarm type	Filter by alarm category.
User	Filter by the user involved - relevant for access-control events; names can show the business unit they belong to.
Search	Free-text search across events.

Filters adapt to context: when the page is opened scoped to a specific sensor or location, filters that don’t apply are hidden and the relevant one is pre-applied. See Filtering & search.

Recorded video playback

When an event has recordings, you can open a video player. The app gathers the available clips for that event, groups them by camera, and opens the footage in a player with controls. A single event can have footage from more than one camera. The player manages the device’s status and navigation bars and restores normal orientation when you close it.

Where else events appear

The same Events timeline is reused to show events for a single location or a single sensor, with the right filters pre-applied. When you return to the app from the background, the list refreshes so you see recent activity, and your filters and scroll position are kept when you open an event’s details.
