Adding a Camera
Cameras in Supracontrol must be connected through a video server - the external Video Management System (VMS) that manages streams and recordings. The Add button is disabled until at least one video server is configured.
Path: Devices → Cameras → Add
Adding a camera
Open the Cameras view
Navigate to the Devices module and click Cameras.
Click Add
Click the Add (+) button in the toolbar. The Add Camera dialog opens.

Save
Click Save. Supracontrol registers the camera and attempts to connect to it. If the connection succeeds, the camera appears in the grid with Enabled status and a live thumbnail preview.
Deleting a camera
Select the camera in the grid and click Delete in the toolbar. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Deletion removes the camera from Supracontrol
Deleting a camera removes it and all its trigger and event data from Supracontrol. Recording footage on the video server is not affected. This action cannot be undone. Only one camera can be deleted at a time.
Rebooting a camera
If a camera becomes unresponsive, you can restart it remotely:
Select the camera
Click the camera row in the Cameras grid. Only one camera can be selected for reboot.
Click Reboot
Click the Reboot button in the toolbar.
Confirm with your password
Enter your Supracontrol account password in the confirmation dialog to authorise the reboot.
Wait for reconnection
The camera restarts. The network indicator turns red briefly, then returns to green once the camera is back online. This typically takes a minute or two.
Copying settings between cameras
Use Copy Settings to apply one camera’s stream and image configuration to other cameras - useful when commissioning multiple cameras of the same model.
Select the target cameras
In the Cameras grid, select the camera(s) you want to update.
Click Copy Settings
Click the Copy Settings button in the toolbar.
Choose the source camera
In the dialog, select the source camera whose stream and image settings you want to copy.
Apply
Click Apply. The selected cameras receive the source camera’s resolution, bitrate, FPS, keyframe interval, quality, and image control values (hue, saturation, brightness, contrast).
