Notification Delivery Statistics
The Delivery Stats feature provides insight into how your notifications have been performing - how many were sent, through which channels, and whether deliveries succeeded or failed.
Path: Settings → Application Notifications → click Delivery Stats
Opening delivery statistics
Navigate to notifications
Go to Settings → Application Notifications.
Open the stats panel
Click the Delivery Stats button in the toolbar. The delivery statistics panel opens as an overlay.
Per-channel breakdown
A set of charts shows delivery counts broken down by channel for the selected time period, including a success/failure breakdown where available.
| Channel | What is counted |
|---|---|
| Number of email alerts sent | |
| SMS | Number of SMS messages sent |
| Voice | Number of voice calls placed |
| Mobile Push | Number of mobile push notifications delivered |
Timeline view
A timeline chart shows when notifications fired over the selected date range. This helps you identify:
- Periods of high alarm activity
- Channels that frequently fail to deliver
- Notifications that fire unexpectedly often or rarely
Filtering
You can narrow the statistics view by:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Date range | Select a start and end date to focus on a specific time window |
| Notification | Filter to show stats for a single notification rule |
Interpreting the data
| Observation | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| High failure rate on a channel | Configuration problem - for example, expired SMTP credentials or an invalid recipient address |
| No deliveries on a channel where expected | The channel may not be enabled on the notification, or the recipient list for that channel is empty |
| Unexpectedly high delivery volumes | A sensor may be generating false alarms, or a notification trigger is too broad |
