Cards
The Cards tab is the default view of the Monitoring module. It displays every sensor the logged-in user has access to as a responsive card grid - the quickest way to see current status across all monitored equipment. Values update in real time without a page reload.
What a card shows
Each card represents one sensor or logical sensor group. The information displayed depends on the sensor type.
Analog sensors
Analog sensors (Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, CO2, TVOC, Voltage, Current, Power, Energy, Light, Sound, and others) show the current value with its unit, a small linear history graph, and min / max / average statistics. An optional gauge visualization can be enabled per sensor.
Digital sensors
Digital sensors show a binary ON / OFF state. If the sensor is a controllable output and the logged-in user has the required permission, a toggle button is visible directly on the card - no navigation required.
Lock / Door sensors
Lock and door sensors display a Locked / Unlocked state. When a camera is linked to the same location, a live thumbnail of that feed appears on the card alongside the lock state.
Specialty sensors
Specialty sensors (Smoke, Flood, Particle, CO, Tilt, SF6, and others) use a type-appropriate visual indicator rather than a numeric value - for example, an icon that fills or changes colour when the sensor triggers.
Parent sensors
Parent sensors are aggregate cards used for rack and cabinet monitoring. They roll up the states of all child sensors into one card so the overall health of a unit is visible at a glance. Expanding the parent card reveals the individual child sensor states.
Card in alarm
When a sensor enters an alarm state its card is highlighted red. The alarm remains visible until the condition clears. The toolbar badge shows the total count of sensors currently in alarm (capped at 99+).
Use the Alarm filter toggle in the toolbar to isolate alarmed cards and hide everything else - see Toolbar actions below.
Toolbar actions
| Icon | Action | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Alarm filter toggle | Show only alarmed sensors, or show all sensors | |
| Extend / Shrink | Switch between standard and compact card height | |
| Open in new window | Opens the current filtered view in a fullscreen popup window - useful for dedicated monitoring screens | |
| Settings | Toggles for Show Disabled and Show Silent sensors |
Filters
The right-side filter panel has five collapsible categories. Filters combine freely; active selections show counter badges. A Clear filters button resets all.
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Location | Hierarchical location tree; each node shows its alarmed sensor count. Supports text search. |
| Device | Device and controller list; bus child devices are nested under their parent. Supports text search. |
| Controller type | Groups sensors by hardware type (TH-100, PLC-10, DC-102, and others) |
| Card type | Groups by sensor category (Temperature, Humidity, Door, Lock, CO2, and others) |
| Status | Filter by Enabled, Disabled, Silent, or Error state. Only visible when Show Disabled or Show Silent is turned on in Settings. |
Footer counters
The shell footer shows: total cards · cards matching current filters · alarmed cards.
Adding a card to a custom dashboard
Right-click any card (or use its context menu) to add that sensor directly to one of your custom dashboards on the Dashboard tab.
