Introduction
The Monitoring module is the central real-time observation hub of Supracontrol. It organises three views into a single tabbed area: Cards (at-a-glance sensor grid), Dashboard (customisable canvas layouts), and Map (geographic overview of monitored locations).
Path: Monitoring → Cards / Dashboard / Map
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cards | Uniform card grid of every sensor the user can access - quickest way to see current status at a glance |
| Dashboard | User-created canvases with freely placed and resized cards including live video streams and event grids |
| Map | Geographic marker map showing which locations have sensors in alarm; supports Google Maps and OpenStreetMap |
All three tabs share the same underlying sensor and device data loaded when entering the module. Switching tabs does not reload data.

Shared behaviour
- Alarm count badge - every tab shows an alarm count badge in the toolbar. Clicking it filters the view to show only items currently in alarm.
- Filter persistence - filter selections, expanded/collapsed panel states, and layout preferences are saved per user and restored on return.
