Map
The Map tab is a geographic overview of all monitored locations. Each location with sensors appears as a marker on the map; markers turn red when sensors are in alarm and show the count of alarmed sensors. It is the primary view for operators managing physically distributed sites.

Map providers
| Provider | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Google Maps | A Google Maps API key configured in system settings |
| OpenStreetMap (Leaflet) | No API key required |
If no map is configured, the tab shows a prompt guiding the administrator to the map settings page.
Markers and locations
- One marker per location that has sensors.
- A marker shows the number of sensors currently in alarm at that location.
- Clicking a marker opens a detail panel listing the sensors at that location and their current states.
- Marker positions correspond to geographic coordinates stored per location.
Filters
The right-side filter panel has two controls:
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Location | Collapsible location tree; selecting a location zooms the map to its markers and narrows other panels to that location’s data. Shows alarm count per node. |
| Map view | Switches between administrator-defined preset views - each stores a named zoom level and centre coordinate |
Administrator tools
Edit mode
Administrators can enter an edit mode to reposition markers and manage named views.
In edit mode:
- Drag markers to update their geographic coordinates.
- Save writes coordinate changes. Cancel restores the previous positions.
- Edit view names and their saved zoom and coordinate presets.
Alert signalling settings
Per-map alert behaviour is configurable by administrators:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Blink on alarm | Markers blink continuously when in alarm, or only when a new alarm first arrives |
| Blink duration | How long the blink animation lasts |
| Buzzer | Enable or disable an audible alert tone on new alarms, with configurable duration |
