Introduction
Overview
The Devices module is where operators manage every piece of field hardware connected to Supracontrol. It is split into three sub-views, each dedicated to a distinct hardware class:
- Controllers - Top-level controller devices (TH-100, DC-102, RC-102, Modbus gateways, and others) and their attached BUS sub-devices.
- Peripherals - Sensors and outputs wired to controllers or BUS devices: temperature, humidity, locks, readers, relays, smoke, flood, power monitoring, air quality, and more.
- Cameras - IP surveillance cameras, their streaming configurations, and recording triggers.
What you can do here
- Add and remove controllers, peripherals, and cameras
- Edit network, GPRS, time, and channel settings on controllers
- Enable, disable, mute, and sync devices
- Toggle digital outputs and relay states
- Assign hardware to locations in the location hierarchy
- Filter and search large hardware inventories
- Configure HD and SD camera streams and recording triggers
- Export any inventory view to Excel
Who can use this module
Access to the Devices module is restricted to users with the Administrator or BU Admin role.
| Role | Access |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Full access - add, edit, and delete hardware across all business units |
| BU Admin | Scoped to their business unit - cannot add or delete hardware |
| Other roles | No access - redirected to the Dashboard on navigation |
Business unit scoping: A BU Admin sees and edits only hardware assigned to their business unit. Bulk edits cannot mix hardware from different business units, and the Add and Delete toolbar buttons are hidden for BU-scoped users.
Navigating to Devices
Click Devices in the main application tab bar to open the module. Three navigation buttons appear at the top of the page - Controllers, Peripherals, and Cameras. Click any button to switch between views.
Your last active view is remembered and restored the next time you open the module.
Footer counters
The bottom status bar shows live counts for the active view:
| Counter | When shown |
|---|---|
| Total | Always |
| Filtered | When a filter or search is active |
| Alarmed | Peripherals view only, when at least one peripheral is currently in alarm |
