Introduction
Overview
The Video section is where operators monitor live camera feeds, manage named camera layouts, and review recorded footage and alarm-triggered events. It is presented as a tabbed area in the main application shell.
The Video section has three tabs:
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| Camera List | Live grid of camera streaming cards - watch all cameras simultaneously, filter by status or location, start manual recordings, and open per-camera actions |
| Video Wall | Named multi-camera layouts with configurable slot counts; drag-and-drop reordering and sharing with other users |
| Playback | Browse, play, search, filter, and download recorded video by date, camera, alarm type, and recording state |
What you can do here
- Watch live camera streams simultaneously across a configurable 1–3 column grid
- Filter cameras by location, network status, camera status, and associated location
- Highlight cameras currently detecting motion; restrict the grid to in-alarm cameras only
- Toggle a motion-detection grid overlay and detector lines on each camera card
- Open any camera fullscreen with zoom and pan controls
- Start manual recording on a camera for a chosen duration
- Create and manage named Video Walls with one of eight layouts (1–25 camera slots)
- Share Video Walls with other users (Private or Public visibility)
- Drag-and-drop reorder slots in a wall; add and remove individual cameras per slot
- Open Camera List or a specific Video Wall in a separate browser window
- Browse recording history by calendar date
- Select a camera and inspect its recordings on a 24-hour interactive timeline
- Switch between Alarms and Continuous Recording sub-tabs in Playback
- Filter playback by location, camera, alarm type, and video state
- Play, pause, skip, change speed, and zoom in the video player
- Download individual screenshots and bulk-download selected clips as a ZIP
